Asia and Central Africa

  • BVN can be received in Central-Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and Central Africa, with the exception of Western Africa, via the Thaicom satellite on 78,5 degrees east.
  • In these regions all you need is a modern free-to-air (FTA) DVB receiver and a good quality satellite dish.
  • In this region you will need a large satellite dish between 2 and 3.5 metres in diameter, depending on the location. The correct size of satellite dish is extremely important for good interference-free reception.

In this region you will need a large satellite dish between 2 and 3.5 metres in diameter, depending on the location. The BVN signal from the Thaicom 3 satellite is not intended primarily for this region, but is a feed to Australia and New Zealand. No rights may be derived on the basis of the Thaicom signal which is supplied by BVN free of charge. Please note that you will require a large satellite dish and that the strength of the signal may be subject to fluctuations. Frequency changes may also occur.
